Welcome to my little corner of the internet.  Im an avid scuba diver, and traveller.   I aim to travel as much as I can and share my travels in this blog along with some of my favourite photos and experiences.

Hopefully you will find some of the information useful in planning your own trips to destinations I have been.  Maybe one day you can join me on a trip – Im always looking for buddies when diving somewhere new.

Sea creatures fascinate me and I enjoy underwater photography and video.  Im still learning and have yet to take that special shot that is of the quality I can enlarge and proudly display on my wall – one day I will get there, and my blog will be tracking that progress so I can look back through and learn more myself.

My interests?

Scuba diving of course, and travel.  I will travel at the slightest opportunity.  Im lucky in that my work just requires the internet mainly so can do it anywhere when the motivation allows.

In my surface intervals?  I love renovating property.  So much satisfaction in taking something from drab to fab.  Other than that I like to explore my new home region of Cairns Queensland.

Ohhh…and I love gin. And coffee. But mostly gin. But you may just have worked that out already

Just your average over 40’s woman who found a passion in scuba diving and travel after doing an intro dive in Fiji for my 40th.  Took me a couple more years before I did my ticket but I havent looked back.

After becoming certified my priorities changed, changing from a ‘live to work’ ethos to a definite ‘work to live’ style.   For me its work hard so I can dive hard.   I can honestly say diving has saved me from an certain early grave as I was a workaholic.  Now, I might still put in big hours at times but it is not 7 days a week, its a few intense days here and there to enable me to go on the next dive trip!

Seven years on, I’m an instructor and I have moved from NZ to live in tropical Cairns, Australia working for a dive company and travelling as often as I can.
